A Maine film production company is looking for dogs to appear in its next production, “The Adventures of Teeni the Wonder Dog.”

Motion Media will hold an open casting call for dogs at The Kennel Shop at Mill Creek Shopping Center in South Portland on Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Some shooting for the film may be done that day. The lead dog has already been cast, but many canine roles are still available. The film is about Christina, a young girl living with leukemia, and the dog that enters her life and helps give her hope.

Motion Media’s other locally made films include the zombie story “2” and the Bigfoot comedy “Monster In The Woods.”
