Fired Auburn teacher back in jail

By The Associated Press wire report May 01, 2008 11:13 AM

AUBURN - A former Auburn elementary school teacher who was charged last fall with unlawful sexual contact is back in jail after police say he was "cruising" a Wal-Mart store to ogle children.

Twenty-seven-year-old James Raymond was charged Tuesday with violating his bail conditions for allegedly having contact with a 9-year-old girl at the Auburn store.

Raymond was fired last fall after police said he admitted to sometimes touching young girls.

He had been free on bail after being charged with three counts of unlawful sexual touching and four counts of assault. As a condition of bail, he was forbidden from having interaction with children other than direct family members.
