A Biddeford man was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Portland today to seven and a half years in prison for robbing a Saco Burger King at gunpoint last May.
Corey Wright, 20, pleaded guilty to robbery and brandishing a firearm during a robbery. His accomplice, Christopher Suthard, 20, of Biddeford, earlier pleaded guilty to the same offenses as well as conspiracy to distribute marijuana and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The two men, dressed in hooded sweatshirts with bandannas over their faces, entered the restaurant shortly after midnight, forcing two employees to the ground and stealing $1,306. Wright hit one worker several times in the head with a pistol.
