A Scarborough man faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine after pleading guilty today in U.S. District Court in Portland to robbing the Maine Bank & Trust on Adams Street in Biddeford.
Robert E. Patch, 45, robbed the bank April 9, after pointing what appeared to be a black handgun at a teller. The teller copied down the license plate and description of the truck Patch fled in with $4,000. He was arrested in Saco about 15 minutes later and the cash was recovered along with a pellet gun.
