About a half-dozen members of the Wells Fire Department are fighting a brush fire behind Spenser Press.

The firefighters responded to the blaze on Spenser Drive at approximately 10:20 a.m., according to Wells Fire dispatcher Debbie Nolette.

Nolette said the fire had been burning for some time and was nearly extinguished when firefighters arrived.
