The snowy winter brought record numbers of skiers and snowboarders out to Maine's ski resorts.

Ski Maine Association said Tuesday that Maine's ski areas had a 1.42 million skier visits during the winter, breaking the previous record of 1.36 million skier visits seven years ago.

Ski Maine Executive Director Greg Sweetser said this season represented a 25 percent increase over last winter, with nearly every ski area reporting double-digit increases.
