Police officers across the country will honor and remember fallen officers tomorrow, particularly those who have given their lives in the line duty.
In Augusta, officers will march from the Augusta Police Department to the police memorial on State Street at 11 a.m., Augusta Police Lt. J. Chris Read said. A portion of State Street in front of the Statehouse will be closed from 10:45 a.m. to noon, he said.
In honor of the fallen, Gov. John Baldacci asks for Maine residents to fly their U.S. flags at half-staff from sunrise to sunset tomorrow.
