WATERVILLE — Andrea Thebarge, a 1995 graduate of Skowhegan Area High School, has been named the head coach of the field hockey and women's lacrosse programs at Thomas College.

Thebarge served as the interim field hockey coach at the University of Maine at Orono during the 2006-07 season. Before that, she worked with Terry Kix for four years as an assistant coach at UMaine.

At Skowhegan, Thebarge played won two state championships while playing for coach Paula Doughty.

She went on to play at Northeastern University, where she played in two NCAA Final Fours.
