SKOWHEGAN — The Maine Academy of Family Practice has named Michael Lambke of Skowhegan as Maine Family Doctor of the Year.
The award recognizes someone who provides the community with compassionate, comprehensive and caring medical services. The doctor of the year also is directly and effectively involved in community affairs and provides a credible role model as a healer and human being in the community, and as a professional in medicine to colleagues.
Lambke, 40, is associated with Skowhegan Family Medicine and Redington-Fairview General Hospital. Lambke and his wife, Amber, have two children, son Miles and daughter Zoe.
