The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife said today that the new Cabela’s store in Scarborough and all Wal-Mart locations in Maine will now sell hunting and fishing licenses.
The licensing system is available at 240 locations statewide and on the IF&W Web site, maine.gov/ifw.
Cabela’s opens its doors for the first time today and licenses will be immediately available, according to the department.
By allowing retailers to offer licenses, it allows the department to spend more time protecting “valued outdoor resources,” Commissioner Roland “Danny” Martin said in a statement.
