WATERVILLE - The public is invited to attend a forum to discuss a proposed pedestrian walkway from the Hathaway Creative Center to downtown at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers.

The city and state Department of Transportation hired Wilbur Smith Associates to study and define potential routes for the walkway, and representatives from Wilbur Smith on Wednesday will present plausible options and background information.

Organizers say discussion and feedback is necessary to refine a plan.
