Max Pistner of Readfield, a senior at Maranacook Community High School, will be among those honored Saturday at the Blaine House for their artistic talents.
U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud and Gov. John Baldacci are expected to attend the event that honors the 2008 Congressional Art Competition winners. Pistner is the winner from the 1st Congressional District and Mary Howard, a senior at Bangor High School, is the 2nd Congressional District winner.
Each year, the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors a competition for art work created by students from every congressional district in the country. The winning entries are displayed in an exhibition in the U.S. Capitol for one year beginning in June.

District One 2nd Runner-Up: Jackie Mendes (Thornton Academy)
District Two 1st Runner-Up: Drew Moody (Messalonskee High School)
District Two 2nd Runner-Up: Linda Rand, (Lewiston High School)
Honorable Mentions: Grace Arsenault (Westbrook High School), Nathan Brunelle (Windham High School), Neisha Bruns (Lake Region High School), Kate Burlesson-Lesser (Morse High School), Meghan Germano (Brunswick High School), Sarah Ward (Mount Ararat High School), Alyshia Carter (Waterville High School), Colton Jackson (Lisbon High School).
