A 42-year-old Windham man was stabbed Friday night in Casco, and his 45-year-old girlfriend has been arrested and taken to Cumberland County Jail, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

Mariea Whitney was charged with aggravated domestic violence, according to the sheriff's office.

Sheriff's deputies responded to 9 Rosewood Road in Casco about 7:12 p.m. Friday to a report of a man who had been stabbed, according to a sheriff's office press release. The man, whose name was not released, was taken to Bridgton Hospital and later to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with a stab wound to his abdomen.

Whitney was taken to the jail, where she is being held on $15,000 cash bail. She is scheduled to be arraigned next week.
