WATERVILLE — The public on Wednesday will have a chance to give input about a proposed pedestrian connector from the Hathaway Creative Center to downtown.
The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers at The Center Downtown.
Two issues really will be discussed: a pedestrian connector and a trail system, and whether the two would somehow overlap.
“The public, including the city council, is going to have a chance to participate in defining exactly what this project is going to address,” City Engineer Greg Brown said Monday.
The Hathaway Creative Center is being developed in the former shirt factory on Water Street. It will include retail and commercial ventures, as well as office and living space.
Two adjacent factory buildings also would be developed in the Lockwood Mill complex and may include artist studios and a museum.
