Two men face robbery charges following thefts from from cabs over the weekend.

Portland police arrested Justin B. Digaetano, 18, of 197 Cumberland Ave., and Carl Langston, 19, 1 Montgomery St., on Sunday morning on charges of robbery, assault and theft.

An Elite cab driver reported being robbed at 12:30 a.m. on Grant St. when two men he had given a ride punched him and stole his money, police said.

About 90 minutes later, a Global Taxi driver reported that two men matching the same description grabbed his money as he was preparing to make change for them at Clark Street, police said.

Officers searched the area and found two men matching the thieves’ description walking nearby and arrested them, police said.
