Police mount search after fatal stabbing

AUBURN, Maine (AP) — Authorities say police from several departments are searching for an assailant after the fatal stabbing of a man in Auburn near Bonney Park.

Police were called to the trails behind Florian’s Market at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

A man was found bleeding from a wound to his chest.

The Lewiston Sun Journal reported that the victim was identified by friends as 26-year-old Casey Stanley of Lewiston.
