WINSLOW — The Winslow High School Football Boosters are sponsoring a Father’s Day weekend vintage auto show, Saturday at Sukee Arena.

Proceeds from the show, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will benefit the school’s general athletic fund.

Dave and Dan Wendell are among the father-son duos who will appear at the event. They learned only Thursday that Dan cannot work the event, because Maine Principals Association say football is out of season.

“He’s around and willing to spend time with his Dad,” Dave Wendell said.

Dave Wendell, a booster himself, said that the club needs this offseason fund-raiser. Temperates in the high 90s for last year’s season opener and pouring rain for another home game hampered fundrasing efforts last year, he said.
