WILTON - A tractor trailer rolled over on U.S. Route 2 Monday night, critically injuring the driver and forcing emergency workers to close the road for hours.

No information on the cause of the accident or the condition of the driver was available but officials said the accident was being reconstrued due the seriousness of the injuries. The crash occured west of the Cemetery Road intersection.

Wilton police and firefighters were at the scene along with NorthStar Ambulance. At 9 p.m., traffic was still being rerouted.
