The 46th annual Windjammer Days festival will kick off Tuesday, June 24, with a pancake breakfast starting at 7 a.m.
More than 10,000 people are expected to visit Boothbay Harbor during the two-day festival, which will culminate Wednesday night with a fireworks display.
The traditional parade of sails, which will feature a fleet of about a dozen tall ships under sail, is scheduled to take place between 2 and 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
Jaimie Logan, executive director of the Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce, said the event "gives our local businesses a nice jump start to our peak summer season."
In addition to the fleet's arrival, the festival will feature tours of the United States Coast Guard station on McKown Point, concerts and live band performances, a parade and an arts and crafts show.
