Traffic is pouring into Maine on the Maine Turnpike but there have been no significant delays so far.
At 1:30 p.m. today there were only brief waits at the York toll booth on the Maine Turnpike, but traffic is heavy heading north.
Maine Turnpike Authority spokesman Dan Paradee said about 3,500 vehicles are passing through the toll both each hour. He said the heaviest traffic will taper off after 7 p.m., and Sunday will be another heavy travel day.
Maine State Police are reporting no traffic tie-ups or accidents on state highways this afternoon.
