Architectural plans for the $8.5 million Portland Public Library renovation will be on view when the library reopens at 10 a.m. July 15.
The project is aimed at updating aging utilities and improving the layout of collections and services at the main library branch in Monument Square. The renovation will add a larger children’s section, a new teen section, more computers and a new entrance.
The main branch of the library was closed June 30 because of budget constraints.
