SCARBOROUGH - A Russian woman is in critical conditon at Maine Medical Center after a car-bicycle collision on Route 1 near the Saco line.

Sviatlana Auseichyk, 18, who was riding the bicycle, was taken to the hospital at 7:30 p.m. with serious injuries to her head and back following Thursday night's crash, police said.

The car was driven by Peter Juarez, 20 of Scarborough. He and his passenger were uninjured, police said.

No other details were available this morning.
