The state Medical Examiner's Office has released the cause of death for Rochelle Plummer, the Gray woman who was killed Sunday night in a motorcycle pileup on Route 114 in Naples.

Plummer, 43, died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck, according to the Medical Examiner.

Plummer was riding with a group of motorcyclists who had to come to an abrupt halt when they rounded a corner and encountered a van that was stopped in the road, during an attempt to make a left hand turn.

Plummer, who is the wife of Gray Fire Department Capt. William Plummer, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
