Domestic violence forum planned MUST RUN
SKOWHEGAN — The Maine Department of Public Safety in conjunction with the Skowhegan Police and Family Violence Project will host a community forum on Wednesday to assess the impact of domestic violence.
The forum will be held at 6 p.m. at the Skowhegan Opera House at 225 Water St. As a result of a resolve recently passed by the Maine Legislature, the Department is undertaking a comprehensive review of the measures in place to support and protect victims.
The purpose of this forum is to provide an opportunity for public input on the impact of domestic violence — what is working, what can be improved to assist victims and what programs are missing. For more information contact Christopher Cote at 626-3832 or christopher.s.cote@maine.gov
