With about half the field in the clubhouse, 13-time champion Mark Plummer of Manchester is in second place at the Maine Amateur golf championship. Plummer shot a second-round 68 for a two-round total of 138. He is one shot behind two-time champ Ricky Jones, who shot a second-round 68 after an opening round 69.

Ryan Gay of Pittston shot a second-round 73 and is now in third three shot back.
