Story time with Steven Cilley is held 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. every Tuesday in the library's picture book area. The program is offered especially for children up to age five and their parents or guardians.

The library's BookBike travels to the North Street Playground at lunchtime every Wednesday through Aug. 13. The bike visits the picnic shelter on North Street, bringing books to children and families who cannot always get to the library.

"Bee" Movies will be shown in the program room at the library from 5 p.m. to ' p.m. starting Friday and continuing through Aug. 15. The library bills the movies as "fun films for everyone, featuring creepy crawley creatures." Parental guidance is e%pected.

On Thursday this week, an event called "Bugs Invade the Farmers' Market," will be held 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in connection with the summer reading program. Library officials urge children to catch the reading bug by going to the farmers' market on The Concourse and drawing a giant chalk bug mural in the center of the market square.

The event is sponsored by the library as well as the Waterville Main Street Program and Downtown Waterville Farmers' Market.
