Jefferson gears up for events

JEFFERSON -- The town of Jefferson will host two events this weekend -- a country music performance sponsored by the Maine Academy of Country Music, and the Jefferson Historial Society's yard sale and home-made cookie sale.

The country music event, Saturday and Sunday, will be at the Broken Acres, 160 Valley Road, with free camping. For more info call Rose Parlin, 549-7438.

Scheduled to perform are: Bob Elston, Jeff Clark, Slim Andrews, Lefty Dean, Dan Corbett & Eric Beaulieu, Brenda Millett, David Blanchard, Dick Philbrook, ‘Lil Butch Howard, Donny Libby, Vicky Michaud and Ryan, Mark Parlin and Courtney Parlin, Bill Giasson, Ginger May Dyer (Miss Petunia), Fred Couverette, Chris Fyfe, Otto Proctor Jr., Ray Burdzell, Jim Sutter, Conrad and Merlene Fyfe.

Broken Acres' Snack Shack and the MACM Mobile Store will be open both days.

The historical society's yard sale and cookie sale will be held Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Old Jefferson Town House.
