OXFORD -- A 19-year-old man suffered minor injuries after being distracted by a bird while driving and striking a tree along Weber Brook Road in Oxford this afternoon.
Andrew Davis was taken to Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway with cuts and other minor injuries, said Mike Ward, an officer with the Oxford Police Department.
Davis became distracted when a bird flew through his passenger window and into his car. It caused him to drive his car off the road and into the tree shortly after noon today, Ward said.
The car was destroyed. Davis was wearing a seatbelt.
