AUGUSTA -- U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, will attend the opening ceremonies of Le Festival de la Bastille tonight, according to her office.

The festival, which runs through Sunday, will open at 6 p.m. at the Pete Gagne Memorial Little League Field on Old Belgrade Road. Collins is expected to participate in the opening ceremonies and attend the event between 5:50 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The festival continues tonight with bands, other entertainment and fireworks.

It runs from 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets cost $5 per person per day.
