PORTLAND $ A 25-year-old Windham man awaits sentencing after pleading guilty to manslaughter and drunken driving in a motor vehicle accident that killed a mother of two.
Jeffrey Morse admitted to the charges Friday in Cumberland County Superior Court. Prosecutors are asking for a six-year prison sentence at his sentencing hearing later this month.
Morse was behind the wheel of a pickup truck in a collision on Route 202 in Windham that killed 37-year-old Christine Candelmo of Gorham in December 2006. Her two children, 13 and 2, were injured in the accident.
