Two men were arrested Friday in two separate drug raids in Smithfield and Jackman.

Daniel Cyrus, 43, of Smithfield, was charged with cultivating marijuana, furnishing marijuana and possession of a scheduled W drug after the Somerset County Sheriff's Department searched a home off Route 137, according to Detective Lieutenant Carl E. Gottardi II.

Gottardi, Sgt. Thomas Rourke, Sgt. Michael Knight and deputies Michael Ross, James Ross, Eugene Cole, Wilfred Dodge and David Cole searched the home.
They seized 11 marijuana plants, scheduled pills and drug-related paraphernalia, according to Gottardi.

Also Friday, officers searched property on Rose Street in Jackman and seized 41 marijuana plants, processed marijuana, drug-related paraphernalia and stolen mail, he said.

Reid Ross, 50, of Jackman was charged with theft, cultivation of marijuana and furnishing marijuana, according to Gottardi. The theft case resulted from an investigation that alleges Ross was stealing mail from another person's mailbox at a separate location in Jackman.

Gottardi, Rourke, Detective Mathew Cunningham and deputies Dodge, Eugene Cole, James Ross and Zachariah Logiodice searched the property on Rose Street.
