STANDISH -- Authorities on Saturday identified the two individuals killed by a lightning strike Friday.
Killed in the incident were Anthony Clarke, 22, who was living in Standish, and Krysta Bearor, 28, who was from Michigan and has family in Vassalboro, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
About 6 p.m. on Friday, Cumberland County deputies and Standish fire and rescue workers were called to a home on Ossipee Trail West, where they found Clarke and Bearor unconscious outside the residence.
Clarke and Bearor were struck by lightning when they went outside to retrieve a pair of eyeglasses that has been taken from a child in the house by the family dog, according to the sheriff's department.
Bearor's husband and three small children were home at the time of the incident.
