One permit on planning agenda

By Glenn Turner July 22, 2008 10:30 AM

CHINA -- Planning Board members have only one permit application on tonight's [July 22] agenda, leaving time to talk about various other issues.

The first item on the agenda is a review of David Pinkham's application to expand Pinkham's Corner Fuel at 196 Windsor Road to include retail sales and display of alternative energy technologies.

Afterward, Code Enforcement Officer Scott Pierz will report on a maintenance report on the storm water treatment systems at the Fairpoint Communications building on Route 3 and the state's permit for the town-approved Hannaford supermarket on Windsor Road.

Board members and Pierz intend to discuss proposed ordinance changes, including a new ordinance to deal with cell towers and similar structures and amendments to sign requirements and definitions in current ordinances.

The board meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the town office meeting room. Interested residents are welcome at all meetings.
