AUGUSTA -- The public is invited to a community meeting tomorrow night that will focus on the impact of domestic violence on Maine families.
Maine Department of Public Safety Commissioner Anne Jordan is hosting tomorrow's meeting, which is one in a series of domestic violence awareness meetings around the state. The Family Violence Project and the Augusta Police Department are co-sponsoring the Augusta meeting.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Augusta City Hall.
The schedule for the remaining meetings is:
• Thursday, 6 p.m. at the Community Center, 57 Birch St. in Lewiston;
• August 11, 6 p.m. at the Richard Dyke Center at Husson College in Bangor;
• August 13, 6 p.m. at the Boathouse, 34 Commercial St. in Belfast;
• August 20, 6 p.m. at York County Community College in Wells;
• August 22, noon at the Blue Bird Motel, Route 192 in Machias.
