Backyard Farms LLC has announced that it will build a second greenhouse at its Madison, Maine facility.

The company has been growing tomatoes year-round in since early 2007. Production has exceeded 20 million pounds of the fruit. The new greenhouse will bring the company's growing area to almost 2 million square feet. The first harvest from the new facility will be in the fall of 2009.

The company expects to expand its workforce to 175 employees.
