RICHMOND -- Richmond Days kicked off this morning with events to celebrate the community's shipbuilding days.

Tonight has more activities in store for the whole family.

• cake walk, 5:30 p.m. at Waterfront Park;

• children's parade, 6 p.m., starting at the Umberhine Library;

• barrel train rides, 6 - 8 p.m.;

• rock balancing activity, 6 -9 p.m.;

• pig race, 7 p.m.;

• assorted entertainment, 8 - 10 p.m., Evergreen at the Gazebo.
