A man shot by a state police trooper in Albion Monday night has died, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the state Department of Public Safety.
McCausland reported the death at 11:35 p.m.
Late Monday, police remained at the scene of the shooting, which occurred near Keay's store and Albion Christian Church. A representative of the state Attorney General's Office had arrived at the scene.
The trooper had responded to a domestic dispute there.
Police were not naming the man who died.
Around 10:40 p.m., troopers were scouring the scene with flashlights and taking photographs. Residents were milling about, awaiting any news of what happened.
