Maine's population growth has slowed according to the latest estimates for 2007 released this morning by the Census Bureau.
Maine now ranks 46th in percent of population growth nationwide, trailed only by New York, Vermont, Ohio, Michigan and Rhode Island. The state ranked 41 in percent growth in 2006. According to the estimates, Maine added 2,297 residents, bringing the state's population to 1.3 million.
Nevada, Idaho, Arizona and Utah showed the largest percent growth.
