WATERVILLE -- A step toward preventing domestic violence around the state will be announced today at the Wal-Mart store here.
At 10 a.m., Gov. Baldacci and Public Safety Commissioner Anne Jordan will announce what they are calling an "innovative idea that publicizes the state's hotlines for domestic and sexual abuse."
This idea, which will be outlined in detail at the announcement, has has been adopted by the 11 Wal-Mart stores in northern Maine.
