AUBURN, Maine -- A Turner man faces sentencing after pleading guilty to manslaughter and aggravated operating under the influence in a crash that took the life of a paramedic and injured two others last year.

Christopher Boutin entered the pleas Thursday with his trial scheduled to start next week. The 30-year-old Boutin changed is scheduled to be sentenced in Androscoggin County Superior Court on Sept. 24.

The case stems from an accident in Turner in July 2007. Prosecutors say Boutin's blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit when his car crashed into an ambulance responding to an ATV crash. The paramedic, 47-year-old Allan Parsons, was killed. The ambulance driver and ATV driver were injured.
