Portland officials unveiled details of a $100 million project to rehabilitate the Maine State Pier at a press conference this morning at City Hall.

The Olympia Cos. would be required to begin $18 million in renovations at the aging pier by late 2011, according to a preliminary schedule released at the press conference.

Members of the city council's community development committee will discuss the preliminary contract at their meeting Monday afternoon.
