Eldon Bean Memorial Golf Tournament Aug. 23

SKOWHEGAN # The Skowhegan-Madison Elk Lodge will host the annual Eldon Bean Memorial Golf Tournament at Lakewood Golf Course in Madison on Saturday, Aug. 23.

The cost is $50 per person for Lakewood members and $60 for non-Lakewood Golf Club members and includes cart rental.All teams must include two Elks Lodge members.

Format is a shotgun start at 1 p.m. with meal and awards at the lodge after completion of the tournament. Players have a chance to win a new car provided by Hight Chevrolet with a hole in one on No. 3.

Other prizes will be awarded for shots closest to the pin on all par 3s, the straightest drive; and first, second and third-place teams.

All proceeds from the tournament will go toward the Skowhegan-Madison Youth Scholarship Fund and the Maine Children's Cancer Program
