Democrat Tom Allen is bringing some star power to his Senate bid.

Bonnie Raitt's show to benefit Allen's campaign tonight at Portland's Merrill Auditorium has sold out. A day later, she'll be performing in New Hampshire to raise money for former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire.

The Grammy Award winner said previously she's supporting the two candidates because of their positions on the Iraq war, health care and energy.

Allen is trying to unseat Republican Sen. Susan Collins. Shaheen is trying to unseat Republican Sen. John Sununu.
