Two roads in Freeport remain closed due to damage caused by last week's storm.
Desert Road will remain closed for almost a month, and Varney Road will likely re-open Friday, said Deputy Fire Chief Paul Conley.
The six families who live on Varney Road are now required to boil their drinking water, but the boil order is expected to be lifted later this afternoon, Conley said.
He said Freeport Public Works will install a new large culvert on Varney Road this week, and Aqua Maine Inc., a public water utility company, will install a new water line.
The two roads were damaged by flash floods caused by heavy rainfall Thursday night and Friday morning.
