TROY - A Troy man faces several charges, including OUI, following an accident that injured he and a Troy woman Tuesday night.

Waldo County Sheriff Scott Story said Wednesday that both Benjamin Proctor, 18, and Samantha Warrington, 20, also of Troy, were injured in the accident. The accident occurred shortly prior to 7:30, at the intersection of Routes 9 and 220.

Story said that Warrington was treated at Sebasticook Valley Hospital in Pittsfield while Proctor was taken to Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast. Neither was seriously injured, he said.

Deputy Gerry Lincoln arrested Proctor on the OUI charge. Lincoln also summonsed Proctor on charges of operating after suspension, driving to endanger and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, Story said.
