AUGUSTA -- The Blaine House, the governor's mansion, will be open for tours today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the celebration of the home's 175th anniversary.

Organizers say those who tour the property will receive a "surprise gift."

Also today, the Maine State Museum is open for free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A special ArtVan will be in the atrium from 10 a.m. to noon offering activities for children.

Tours of the Statehouse will also be conducted every half hour from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
