KENNEBUNK -- Sanford-based Goodall Hospital is acquiring the Medical Group, a physicians practice with seven doctors and eight allied health professionals.

The Kennebunk-based practice will be relocated to a new space at 7 Shape Drive by the end of the month. The practice has been privately owned. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Goodall Hospital also will offer outpatient services at the Kennebunk location, at a new building called the Goodall Health Center. Plans call for mobile MR, mobile CT, an endoscopy suite, minor procedure rooms, a sleep lab and space for respiratory and stress testing. The $2.6 million project is expected to be completed in the winter of 2009.
