WEST FARMINGTON # A Farmington man who has been biking to work for years was struck by a car at a four-way stop intersection Tuesday morning but escaped with minor injuries, according to Farmington police.

Dr. John Systma of Temple Road, who works at Tri-County Mental Health Services on High Street, was struck by a 2002 Jeep Cherokee operated by Rhonda Kane, 44, of Temple at about 8 a.m. Systma was traveling east on Temple Road and was crossing the intersection. Officer Ed Hastings said Kane had stopped at the stop sign but failed to see Systma before her car struck him.
