Woman charged after hitting cars, home

By Dennis Hoey Portland Press Herald Staff Writer August 19, 2008 07:27 PM

Portland police ticketed a local woman for operating without a license and driving to endanger after her Jeep Cherokee struck four cars and a building in Kennedy Park on Tuesday afternoon.

Fardowsa Warsame, 19, was summonsed by police at Maine Medical Center, where she was taken for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to Lt. Gary Rogers.

Rogers said driver inexperience appears to have been the cause of the crash. Warsame's vehicle hit four parked cars before striking a building at 2 Kennedy Park.

No one else was injured, Rogers said.
