The Maine Warden Service says an 81-year-old Massachusetts man died when a wind-driven wave swept him out of his boat and into Kennebago Lake.

Sgt. John Blagdon said the man and a friend were attempting to bring their 16-foot boat parallel to shore on the lake in Davis Township when he was swept into rough water at about 11 a.m. today.

The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of relatives.
